Buffalo Snow Dance

Artist unkown
Oh, mighty tatanka, galloping through the snow,
On the high plains as the winds of winter grow.
Oh, mighty bison, lifeblood of the plain,
Great and powerful beast, whose spirit can't be slain.

No storm that she can muster, no blizzard that may fall,
Working with the goddess, and Mother Nature's call.
You muster your ancient spirit, you smile in her face,
You embody inspiration, in life's blessed race.

Enjoy each winter season, as only you can do,
Capturing our hearts, as you did with the Sioux.
So dance and gallop on the plain, and upon the snow,
Oh, mighty tatanka, great American buffalo.
