I remember where I was that cold January day.
I can’t imagine the ride down.
Panic. Fear. Anger.
Satisfaction. Peace. Acceptance.
The sax played no more. The soccer ball returned alone but would
float among the heavens again, it’s purpose finally fulfilled.
The lessons learned were taught no more.
I heard a noise.
A bell rang. Seven tolls and the state of the union delayed.
