There’s a house down on the Severn River shore. A warm home that I so adore.
I can see the capitol dome from atop my home. From the balcony up on the fourth floor.
I see an academy of young cadets graduating under the roar of blue and yellow jets.
I dine on crab from the Chesapeake Bay. I watch a thunderstorm at the end of the day.
With four stories and six levels, made of wood and glass and of metals, I love how the water of the Severn River makes my home sparkle and glimmer.
It warms my heart and soothes my soul. For this home helps to make me whole.
If home is where the heart is stored, then my heart lies upon the Severn shore.
