Hard to discern;
Too fast to see.
Big black
caterpillars
Inching across the
highway
Almost as if being
pulled by a string.
I drive over them
fast and look in my mirrors
To see them either
flopping down the road
Head over heels in
my wake,
Or have become one
with my tires.
